The vampire spider is a tiny jumping spider from Africa. Instead it catches mosquitoes that have just drunk blood. The grown-up boys have bright red faces.

Fun fact: spiders are not insects. Insects have six legs, spiders have eight. Everyone calls them bugs anyway!

What does it eat?

It sleeps in a little silk tube nest made of rolled-up dead leaves, often on tree trunks or house walls.
