Fun facts
Each of its wings is about 2 centimetres long.
On the side of its body it has just one small black stripe, while other blue damselflies have two.
Some females look like the blue males and others are brown or green, which helps them get less attention from the males.
Its babies shoot out a special lower lip to grab their food.
In cold northern places its babies grow more slowly, so the adults there end up bigger.
